Frederick Stelle is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B. Architecture and M. Architecture. He is the founding partner of Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects. He has 40 years of design experience in institutional and residential projects that range from educational campuses, arts facilities, administrative centers, private and multifamily residences.

Mr. Stelle began his career in the office of Edward Larrabee Barnes where he directed the renovation of the Yale University Old Campus dormitories. In 1976 Mr. Stelle founded his eponymously named office in Manhattan that later became the firm Frederick Stelle/Richard Gluckman Architects. In 1985 he opened Stelle Architects on the east end of Long Island. Mr. Stelle shares the design and administrative responsibilities with his partners and collaborates on project design. He is a member of the Peconic Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Since 2010 he has served on the advisory board of the Syracuse University School of Architecture where he has been a visiting critic.

A long time conservationist, Mr. Stelle is a trustee of the Long Island Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. An avid outdoor person he is a sailor, a pilot, and a passionate steward of the communities in which he lives.

Michael Lomont joined the firm in 1999 and has been a partner with Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects since its inception in 2012. Michael graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with a Master of Architecture degree. Michael is a committed modernist, with more than 25 years of design and construction experience, including the founding and managing of the design/build division of SLRA. Michael started his career in Washington, D.C., working with a firm that specialized in church and worship space design. Michael has a forward-thinking design sense and strong commitment to sustainability. His informed eye for the details of how things are put together is complemented with his ability to manage the team on a project of any size.

Viola Rouhani joined the firm in 2004, and has a been a partner with Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects since its inception in 2012. Viola graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture/minor in City and Regional Planning, and a Master of Architecture degree. Prior to moving to the east end, Viola practiced architecture in San Francisco and in Manhattan, enjoying practice both as a single practitioner and as part of large architectural teams. Her prior experience ranges from theater to institutional work, always with an emphasis on design as well as execution. Focused towards collaboration with clients and consultants alike, Viola seeks to make each project an individual expression tailored to each site and circumstance. She is a strong advocate of the sustainability of the natural environment and creating a seamless dialogue between architecture and landscape. Since joining the firm, Viola has headed a number of award-winning projects.

Originally from Ireland, Eleanor studied architecture and design in Dublin and Paris. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Trinity College, Dublin and the Dublin Institute of Technology, School of Architecture. Eleanor joined the firm in 1998. Prior to this she worked in Dublin and Manhattan, primarily focused on design led residential projects. Today Eleanor leads the Interior Design practice at SLR and works on all phases of interior design, assisting clients with all interior finish selections, furniture, and interior styling.

An award-winning designer, Eleanor enjoys collaborating with her clients and the full design team, and has had the honor of working with many repeat clients. Eleanor believes a successful interior is one where her client's voice is heard and their personal style is expressed. Though each interior is different, she strives for a timeless quality in her work, where the spirit of the architecture is embraced and celebrated.
